Gladys’ resignation ‘another kick in the guts’ for western Sydney: Kristina Keneally
There are concerns NSW has been left rudderless in the midst of a crisis, with Gladys Berejiklian resigning as premier amid a corruption investigation.
Fellow former NSW premier Kristina Keneally told Jim Wilson ICAC won’t have made the decision lightly, and shouldn’t be held responsible for state government’s chaos when doing their job as a watchdog.
“I have to say, for the people of … south-western Sydney who have been suffering through this third outbreak, this crisis is really quite real.
“Schools are still shut, businesses are still shut, families are doing it tough, and I just think today is another kick in the guts.
“I also don’t want an ICAC shying away from … evidence that causes them some serious concern.”
