‘Go to anti-racism training!’: Pauline Hanson sued over tweet
Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi is suing One Nation leader Pauline Hanson over an allegedly racist tweet made last year.
Faruqi is taking federal court action against Hanson, asking her to pay $150k to charity, after claiming a breach of the Racial Discrimination Act.
In response to Faruqi’s tweet about the Queen’s death last year, Hanson made a series of remarks about the senator’s ethnic background.
Your attitude appalls and disgusts me. When you immigrated to Australia you took every advantage of this country. You took citizenship, bought multiple homes, and a job in a parliament. It’s clear you’re not happy, so pack your bags and piss off back to Pakistan. -PH https://t.co/zilzUeFGoZ
