‘Good riddance’: Peter Dutton to deport paedophile security guard who abused 3yo girl
The Home Affairs Minister will revoke the visa of a convicted child sex offender who abused a toddler while working as a security guard.
In December 2016, Mohammad Hassan Al Bayati took the three-year-old girl from the DFO shopping centre playground at Homebush while her mum was Christmas shopping.
The then-29-year-old masturbated in front of the girl for 11 minutes.
In May 2019 he was found guilty of the crime, and on Tuesday was sentenced to four-and-a-half year’s jail.
Iraqi-born Al Bayati came to Australia by boat in 2011 and was given a permanent protection visa.
Like most parents I was sickened by Al Bayati’s despicable crime. He’s not only committed an appalling crime against an innocent child, but against the country that gave him refuge & a new life. He has no place in Australia. https://t.co/pYSxjxDTHg

But Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton tells Ray Hadley he will now move to cancel his visa and deport him.
“He’ll serve time in jail now and then will be deported at the time of his exit from jail. We don’t want people harming children.
“It’s worth pointing out in this case as well, of course, this individual didn’t come as a welcome guest, he came on a boat when Labor lost control of the borders.
“Good riddance to him and people like him.”
