Government appoints state ambassador to riddled retirement village sector
A retirement village ambassador has been appointed by the state government to examine issues in the sector.
Kathryn Greiner, who led an inquiry into retirement villages last year, has won the role.
“It’s important that we have someone on the ground speaking with, and advocating for, residents,” says Michael McLaren.
Ms Greiner will represent 56,000 residents across the state, visiting many of them when she hits the road from this month.
She tells Michael “safety and security” is her first priority.
