Greyhound Racing NSW announces record prize money increase
Greyhound Racing NSW has announced a record increase in the prize money on offer, with a focus on regional participants.
Over the next 12 months, a record $33 million will be distributed to participants in the NSW industry starting July 1.
The majority of the $3.2 million increase will go to participants in regional communities.
Greyhound Racing NSW CEO Tony Mestrov tells Ray Hadley the winning prize money in regional provincial clubs will increase from $850 to $1500.
“This whole focus of the prize money increase is all about the regional people. We know people are struggling out there, we want them to stay in the industry.”
