Have you seen these magnets? Dodgy plumbing company launches deceptive campaign

Article image for Have you seen these magnets? Dodgy plumbing company launches deceptive campaign

The shonky Plumbing Detectives seem to have launched a new marketing campaign but they’ve hidden a key piece of information.

Ray Hadley has been flooded with emails from listeners who say they’ve been sent fridge magnets in the shape of taps.

There isn’t the name of a company in sight and Ray smells a rat.

Earlier in the year, Ray exposed the Plumbing Detectives for ripping off an elderly woman.

Her case sparked a torrent of complaints from other listeners with customers, fellow plumbers and even employees within the company revealing their experience with the company’s dodgy practices.

NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller and NSW Better Regulation Minister Matt Kean have become involved and are investigating the business.

Ray decided to call the mobile number on the magnet live on air, and his suspicions were right.

“So now, they’re not putting Plumbing Detectives on because they know I’m onto them!”

The magnets aren’t just showing up in mailboxes across New South Wales.

They’re also popping up in Queensland and Ray is warning residents to stay far, far away.

“It looks like their tentacles are spreading far and wide,” Ray says.

“Just keep putting them in the bin.”
