Rugby league immortal Andrew Johns has urged fans to put the breaks on hyping up the Sharks and playmaker Nicho Hynes too much, declaring Cronulla are yet to prove themselves against the competition’s top sides.

While the Sharks currently sit in second spot on the ladder, Johns pinpointed Cronulla’s struggles against fellow top-eight sides as a concern with finals approaching.

“If we’re going to talk about Nicho playing Origin, then he has to own those big games,” Johns said.
