Chris O’Keefe is calling on the government to heavily consider safety barriers after two people were killed following a multi-vehicle crash on the bridge yesterday afternoon.

He points out the middle lanes change direction when needed and notes similar roads have physical barriers in place.

“Now, why can’t we have a divider? Victoria Road manages to do it, they’ve got a moveable divider,” he said.
