Health Minister refuses to budge on ‘careful’ resumption of regional travel
Travel between Greater Sydney and the regions is due to reopen when 80 per cent of the state is fully vaccinated, but low vaccination rates in some areas have raised concerns.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard dismissed suggestions regional travel would resume any sooner than the Monday after 80 per cent is reached, telling Jim Wilson his advice to the Premier is to “just be steady about it”.
“Obviously … everyone would like it, but there’s also the other side of it which is just a stable, sensible, calm approach to it.
“So far, that’s been working well.”
