HEATED CLASH: Union boss grilled over heartless health strike
Paramedics are striking across the state in protest of delayed pay rise promises by the NSW government.
Exceptions are in place to only transport patients on dialysis or end of life, as Health Services Union boss, Gerard Hayes explained, “The salary cap hasn’t moved so we can’t [negotiate].”
Ben Fordham challenged Hayes, saying: “This is not something that can be done in a flash.”
“If you’re not going to take them, do you want them to catch a bus or do you want them to walk?” Ben exclaimed.
