‘Here for decades’: Antill Park Country Golf Club wins lease agreement

Wollondilly Shire Council votes 8 to 1 in favour of continuing the lease agreement with the Antill Park Country Golf Club.

The development comes after Ray Hadley exclusively revealed on Monday that the Council was strongly considering not renewing the lease.

Antill Park Country Golf Club President, Kevin James, told Ray the club will now ask for a 50-year term on the lease agreement.

“I won’t be around for another 50 years, but this allows the people that are coming through to have a chance,” Mr James told Ray Hadley.

The country club is seen as a very important part of Picton and the broader community.

“Antill Park is one of the places I went as a kid in the late 60s,” said Ray.
