Highly revered detective retires after decades solving state’s worst murders
NSW Police Detective Chief Inspector Russell Oxford is retiring from the force after 41 years.
Detective Chief Inspector Oxford has become one of the NSW’s best-known detectives, working on some of the state’s most notorious rape and murder cases.
Mr Oxford told Ray Hadley his whole career he wanted to do the right thing by people.
“I want to be known as a good person who tried his best.
“Would I do it all again? Absolutely.”
