Delays and cost blowouts to the historic North Sydney pool development have resulted in an urgent inquiry.

The project that was due for completion next month is now been pushed back to July next year at the earliest.

This pool has so far cost $64 million.

North Sydney Councillor Mary Ann Beregi told Jim Wilson she had raised concerns from the very beginning.

“It breaks my heart having to walk past the site, I actually can’t do it anymore.

“The beautiful heritage sun deck isn’t there, it’s terrible.”
