Vinnies NSW is launching its CEO Sleepout to raise awareness for the more than 3 million people in Australia living below the poverty line.

CEO Jack de Groot told Deborah Knight “it’s very disappointing” that the increase in rent hasn’t formed part of the federal election campaigns.

“We need to see a national housing strategy – it’s desperately needed.

“Housing first has to be the approach of anyone who seeks government in Australia at this time.”
