How car crashes have been reduced in the last 40 years
It has been 40 years since the NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit was created.
Unit Inspector Jason Hogan told Deborah Knight in 1994 there were 557 fatal crashes in NSW compared to 256 this year.
“Crashes are still the same as they were 40 years ago.
“However, we have seen a huge reduction in the number of crashes.”
