Newcastle Knights Assistant Coach Blake Green believes his club has a huge opportunity to make the finals following three straight wins.

It comes after the Knights caused a major upset over the Storm on Saturday which moved them within one point of the top eight.

Green told The Continuous Call Team the club has been building some momentum in recent weeks.

“Huge opportunity for us,” Green said.

“Three wins on the bounce is something our footy club hasn’t done for a while, so we’ve taken a fair bit of confidence out of that.”

Newcastle missed the finals last season after making the top eight in the past two years.
