Mark Bosnich has hailed the massive psychological boost of Sam Kerr’s fitness which helped give Australia another 1 percenter against Canada.

The Matildas needed to win to progress through the group, and gave Canada a proper thumping out of almost nowhere to top the group – still without their captain on the pitch.

“I thought the fact that she declared herself fit was a massive psychological boost for them”, he told Mark Levy and Paul Gallen.
