Hunter region rocked by 4.8 magnitude earthquake this afternoon
Denman in the Upper Hunter, north-east of Sydney, has been identified as the epicentre of a revised 4.8 earthquake just after midday.
Senior seismologist at Geoscience Australia, Dr Hadi Ghasemi has confirmed a magnitude 2.8 aftershock was recorded shortly after the initial earthquake.
