‘I believe her’: Labor MP calls for Luke Foley to resign
It’s predicted Labor MP Luke Foley is set to resign by the end of the day, and one of his colleagues is urging the NSW Labor Leader to do it soon.
It comes after damning allegations accusing Mr Foley of sexual harassment.
Labor MP for the Blue Mountains Trish Doyle tells Ben Fordham Mr Foley’s actions are “appalling”.
“Bad behaviour is bad behaviour.”
Ms Doyle says while “Luke has been a great leader”, it’s now time for him to “step aside”.
“Luke knows to do the right thing.
“Now he will… it’s time to go.”
She tells Ben she’ll call for a leadership spill if Mr Foley refuses to resign.
As for whether the allegation are true, Ms Doyle says “today’s statement was unequivocal”.
“Women every day, Ben, whether it’s in a workplace, whether it’s in a domestic violence situation, have stories to tell and they’re not believed. I believe her.”
It’s understood Labor’s office is encouraging Mr Foley to resign this afternoon.

Former Labor senator Sam Dastyari says the situation is not salvageable.
“As someone, as you know Ben, who had to resign myself when it all got very hard, there are times when you just have to take a bullet for the party and for the movement.
“I just don’t think there’s going to be any good for Luke, his family or anyone else trying to really, drag this out.”
