‘I can HEAR them’: Farmer warns of another mouse plague
Farmers are on the lookout for increased mouse activity in New South Wales, fearing that we may have a repeat of the ruinous 2021 plague.
The NSW Farmers Association has sparked a warning, following reports of damage to crops and fodder across the state.
Coleambally Farmer, Shane Fraser, told Ben Fordham that his corn-filled truck was raided by a few mice after a night of heavy rain, saying it was “hard to get the smell out”.
“It could really explode…I could hear them outside last night nibbling at the walls or something,” said Shane.
