Fast bowler Peter Siddle has been drafted into the Boxing Day Test squad after Josh Hazlewood was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.

Ahead of next week’s Boxing Day Test against New Zealand, Peter Siddle has been brought into the 13-man squad

The 35-year-old fast bowler tells John Stanley he doesn’t consider his age to be a disadvantage.

“That’s what it’s about, keeping your body as good as you can as long as you can.

“You start as a young kid because you love it, and that’s why I’m still playing. I wouldn’t be playing at 35 if I still didn’t love it, that’s for sure. 

“I just love the challenge.”
