Australian Test vice-captain Steve Smith is confident in his ability as the Ashes gets underway.

There has been some criticism over Smith’s leadership appointment after his role in the ball-tampering scandal.

Smith told Ben Fordham he can’t change everyone’s mind.

“I know that I’ve grown so much over the last few years.

“I feel like I’m a better leader than I was perhaps three or four years ago.”
