Ray Hadley has made a heartfelt tribute to legendary sports broadcaster, David ‘Thirsty’ Morrow, who will retire from his commentary role on the Continuous Call Team (CCT) effective immediately.

It was announced this morning by close friend and colleague Ray Hadley, on behalf of his family, that Morrow had been diagnosed with brain cancer.

He will be ceasing all commentary duties to focus on treatment and family time.

Speaking about his close mate, Hadley told listeners, “how much and why I love this fellow broadcaster so much.”

“David is not just a work colleague, but a dear friend to everyone at this station and this network”, he said.

“He’s a man of some substance. It goes without saying he’s Australia’s most versatile broadcaster.”
