The NSW Transport Minister David Elliot has reiterated the pledge that he will resign if the problem trains at the centre of recent industrial action aren’t fixed.

The minister has been at wars with the RTBU over the signing of a deed that will guaranteed modifications are made to the trains in question.

“My original offer from two months ago is still on the table … it is not true that I refused to sign the deed,” David Elliot told Jim Wilson.

“If the government comes back and goes against it’s word when it comes to the modifications I’ll put my job on the line.”

Mr Elliot also spoke about the current state government turmoil around the controversial appointment of John Barilaro to a New York trade role and the subsequent inquiry.
