‘I’m completely disgusted’: Victim pleads for convicted paedophile to stay locked up
A victim of convicted paedophile Michael Guider has joined Ben Fordham on-air, pleading him to be kept in jail.
Michael Guider, who drugged, molested and killed nine-year-old Sydney schoolgirl Samantha Knight, is due to be released from prison in June.
In 2001 he pleaded guilty to the 1986 manslaughter of the Bondi girl whose body has never been found.
He was already serving time for 75 child sex offences against more than 10 underage children.
NSW Attorney-General Mark Speakman has now lodged an application to keep him behind bars.
Chantelle Hamilton was just six-years-old when Guider drugged, molested and photographed her.
She played a crucial role in putting Guider behind bars and tells Ben Fordham, “Guider’s a threat to every child he crosses paths with”.
“I’m completely disgusted,” she says.
“The six-year-old me who put Guider away in the first place has been completely let down.”
Ms Hamilton believes the judicial system is protecting the wrong people.
“It’s time for the Australian government to take a stand and stop allowing child killers and molesters back into society,” she says.
“How many times do they have to be released, in the hopes that they are rehabilitated, only for them to hurt more children?”
