Nationals Senator Matt Canavan is speaking out against net zero emissions by 2050 after the party backed the plan.

The Prime Minister is expected to ask federal cabinet to endorse the target.

The package, agreed to by the Nationals, will be revealed before he leaves for the Glasgow climate summit on Thursday.

Mr Canavan told Ben Fordham “this is a bad deal for Australian workers”.

“I’m not for sale.

“This stuff is madness and I’m going to fight against it tooth and nail.”
