An increase in the number of polling booths for the federal election will significantly benefit Labor, says Craig Kelly.

The Electoral Commission has added more polling booths for the upcoming election, some of them less than 100 metres from existing locations.

Liberal MP Craig Kelly tells Alan Jones this will benefit Labor, as they have the manpower to support them, whereas the Coalition relies on volunteers.

“It seems quite bizarre that you would do something like that.

“You could throw a football from one polling station to the next!

“This actually suits Labor and GetUp perfectly because they’re out there recruiting all these GetUp activists, they’ve got all the paid union officials to help man all these booths.”
