Invictus Games athletes finally vindicated, three years on

Article image for Invictus Games athletes finally vindicated, three years on

2017 Australian team co-captain and former commando Peter Rudland has been a vocal leader of the campaign to have the medals delivered, and confirmed a ceremony is to be held next month.

“At this stage, we are working towards the 27th of November at Narrabeen … sports centre.

“We’re waiting on confirmation of the medals coming through, but it’s looking very promising.

“It’s a bit sad that such a simple thing, with bipartisan agreement … for it just to be dragged out [is] very disappointing.”
