‘It’s a nightmare’: Anger over plans to close busy CBD street to traffic
A push to permanently close Sydney’s busy George Street to traffic has angered small business owners.
In January, a trial will see the main arterial road closed between Hunter and Grosvenor and Bridge Streets.
Sydney City Council says it will bring more foot traffic and allow more venues to open outdoor dining.
Leader of The Small Business Party Angela Vithoulkas told Jim Wilson delivery drivers are just one group who will be impacted by the trial.
