‘It’s misleading children’: PC standards take over fairy tales

Andrew Bolt is back in the country after three weeks in Europe and he’s well and truly fired up.

Not only has a new survey found a majority of Australian millennials believe capitalism is a failure, but children’s books are having yet more PC standards added to them.

Australian author Elizabeth Fensham is warning political correctness is growing in the publishing industry, as moves are made to “sanitise” children’s tales.

Fensham’s comments come after best-selling British children’s author Geraldine McCaughrean revealed demons, witches and religion are being vetoed by editors.

“It feels like not a week goes by Andrew that we don’t find something new being corrupted by political correctness,” says Chris Smith.

Andrew says the industry has been “captured by the left.”

“To sanitise the world and make it all nice… I think is mischievous. It’s misleading children.

“You don’t want to scare them too witless about going out but nor do you want to turn them into cringing petals that crumble at the slightest breath of win.”

Andrew is also weighing in on a poll conducted by the Centre for Independent Studies, showing 58% of Aussies born between 1980 and 1996 favour socialism.

“This is a real, real concern. Not just about the new generation but what our universities are doing to train our young.”
