‘I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong’: Andrew Bogut taking a stand against free speech gag
Basketball legend Andrew Bogut is standing his ground amid threats from the Victorian Electoral Commission.
Bogut received a warning letter from the VEC because he shared a video on Twitter, urging people to vote out MPs supporting “draconian” COVID measures.
He could face a fine of up to $2000.
The player told Ben Fordham “this is concerning” and he hasn’t taken the post down.
“I believe I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong.
“This could be your brother, auntie or uncle, your grandma posting on Facebook … and they could get a letter.
“I’m happy to stand up for the future of what a free nation should be.”
