Ray Hadley has doubled down on his calls for NSW Liberal MPs to stand up to those in charge in response to the council nomination debacle that’s put NSW Liberal president Don Harwin and Liberal leader Mark Speakman in the spotlight.

On Wednesday, Ray challenged Liberal MPs Alister Henskens and Anthony Roberts, in particular, to stand up to the leadership.

However, the legendary broadcaster was misquoted in various media reports as suggesting the two Liberal MPs were privately text-messaging about specifically wanting to ‘oust’ Speakman.

While Ray never suggested that’s what the text messages were about, Henskens, following the media reports in the aftermath of Ray’s Wednesday show, denied he sent messages about ousting the Liberal leader.

‘I’m afraid I’m about to share what I’ve got,’ Ray said.
