‘Justice!’: Sydney grandmother’s outrageous driving fine scrapped
A Sydney grandmother who copped a $352 fine for honking her horn has had the decision overturned in court.
85-year-old Alma was driving to work at Myer in Roselands along Belmore Road at Riverwood when suddenly a car pulled out in front of her.
Moments after beeping, she was pulled over with the police officer claiming she beeped for a second too long.
Alma Smith told Jim Wilson, common sense has prevailed.
“I am glad that they realised it was all farcical.”
