A world-renowned sex symbol and a rabbi have become unlikely partners in a book about sex.

Former Playboy model Pamela Anderson and American rabbi Shmuley Boteach co-wrote the relationship guide which explores the importance of lust over love.

Rabbi Shmuley tells Chris Smith he takes issue with modern-day labels in relationships such as “partner” or “best friend”.

“Relationships today are really casual,” he says.

“I actually think we have no clue what sex is for.

“Because we don’t understand its purpose we don’t do a lot to salvage it.”
