Former prime minister Kevin Rudd has reflected on his meetings with Her Majesty The Queen.

Mr Rudd is currently in London as the world comes to terms with the death of the beloved Monarch.

“I think people here assumed, as we do in Australia, that she would somehow last forever.”

He told Ben Fordham of the many times he’s met with the Queen.

“When you sat down and engaged a person of her vintage and her experience you knew you were speaking with living history.”
