Labor Leader slams Liberal plans on harbour crossing tolls
NSW Labor Leader Chris Minns has weighed in on Sydney’s plans of two-way tolls and the potential new tunnels.
The burden of toll prices has been a growing issue and Mr Minns told Jim Wilson the Liberal party needs ” to front up and explain to all of us”.
He suggested that proposed tunnels and privatisations of governments assets “shouldn’t happen”.
When asked if it was political suicide for the government to go down that path the Labor Leader replied: “Without a toll relief package absolutely”.
“We cant have tolls doubling the rate of inflation.”
He also added that a potential Northern Beaches tunnel shouldn’t be considered, “We can’t go ahead with it, it doesn’t make sense”.
“The Liberals just seem to be making it worse.”
