Ben Fordham has grilled the NSW Health Minister over necessary changes to hospital visitation tearing apart devastated families.

Ben has spoken to listeners who have been separated from dying family members and are calling for compassion.

Ben Fordham: “When are we going to say, let these people in?!”

Brad Hazzard: “There are around about two and a half million patients….”

Ben Fordham: “No, you’re giving me statistics again, Minister! People don’t want to hear that right now. They want to hear you answer the question you’ve been asked!”

Listener Callie has been unable to see her sick father in intensive care at Royal North Shore hospital.

While Doris was denied the right to be with her ill mother, who had poor English skills, and later suffered a fall that led to her death.

“There’s absolutely no explanation for this,” Ben said.
