Liberal and Labor members vow to help residents save ‘the tracks’ in Werrington
Liberal member for Penrith, Stuart Ayers and Deputy Labor Leader Prue Car joined Chris O’Keefe to respond on what they can do about the bike track closure.
Following the strong fight between local residents in Werrington and the Penrith City Council, Stuart Ayers and Prue Car agree the tracks should not be closed.
“I’ll make a couple of phone calls to some local councillors,” Ayers told Chris.
Car said that Ayers can speak to the Mayor and she will talk to the Labor councillors ‘to get it sorted’.

Paul Tazzyman, a local resident in Penrith explained why he started a petition to stop the Council from closing ‘the tracks’.
It is located in Werrington off Lethbridge Avenue and John Oxley Avenue.
Local residents have been visiting this spot since the 1970s, but Penrith City Council has closed the popular bike attraction.
The Council claim the property is dangerous and now a courageous resident has taken a stance against their decision.
