Lifeline faces challenging rebuild for decimated Northern Rivers office
There are plans to demolish the Lifeline Northern Rivers office after floodwaters decimated the space last month.
The region’s local crisis line call centre has been forced offline with the space requiring an entire rebuild.
“We’ve got to rebuild that in a time when tradies and building materials are challenging to get ahold of,” NSW General Manager Michael Were told Mark Levy.
“We’re not really too sure how long that’s going to be before we can get that side operational again.”
