‘Lifelong passion’: Morris Iemma hits back at criticism over new position
Newly-appointed Chairman of Venues NSW, Morris Iemma has defended his new position amid a political brawl with NSW Liberal leader Mark Speakman.
The former Sports Minister and NSW Premier explained that he has spent his life dedicated to sports at a community level, as well as direct experiences with sports venues.
Criticism has also arisen in regards to Iemma’s sons working for the Minns government.
“The criticism of my two boys – they’re at university, they’re paying their way [there] … and they’ve got jobs on their merit with a law and accounting firm”, he explained.
“But [like] I said earlier, sometimes politicians complain for the sake of complaining”, Ray Hadley said.
