Lismore is bracing for its third flood this year with heavy rain forecast.

Between 100 and 200 millimetres of rain has been forecasted for the region, with heavy rain falling in Lismore overnight.

Severe weather warnings are also in place in the Mid-North Coast and Northern Rivers.

SES’ Scott McLennan told Ben Fordham there’s significant flash flooding in the Northern Rivers.

“The weather system is slowly … and I mean it’s very slow … trying to move offshore.”
