‘Listen to what we’re saying’: Teachers walk off the job
Thousands of public school teachers marched today through the Sydney CBD as part of their 24-hour industrial action over wages and conditions.
The strike action is in defiance of the NSW government’s plea to wait until after next month’s budget to solve the pay dispute.
Central Coast High School Maths Teacher Jodie told Jim Wilson, that strike action is all about “respect”.
North Sydney P&C President David Hope believes the disruptions come at a bad time for parents and students.
“We would rather the government and the teachers federation get together and resolve these issues without striking.”
