LNP member expelled amid allegations of harassment
State MP Jason Costigan has been expelled from the LNP following allegations of harassment.
The party has made the decision at a state executive meeting on Friday.
The executive acknowledged it was a “significant” decision.
“We expect our elected representatives to meet the highest standards,” the party said in a statement.
Mr Costigan was initially suspended on Wednesday after a complaint was raised by a member of the public.
The member for Whitsunday maintains the allegations involving two women are untrue.
