Actor Matt Day has shared memories of the late Lorrae Desmond, an Australian actress who portrayed Nurse Shirley Gilroy in A Country Practice.

“Lorrae was like the matriarch of the circus, really,” Day told Deborah Knight.

“I think Lorrae’s one of those few people I’ve never heard an unkind word spoken of.”
