Majority of mobile speed camera cars in NSW out of action
More than 100 mobile speed cameras are out-of-action while they’re altered to fit compulsory warning signs.
The government’s policy backflip in October means warning signs are now required before, and after, mobile speed cameras across the state.
The new rules kicked-in yesterday, but just 38 of 143 cameras are on the road.
The others are in the process of being retro-fitted – because they’re too small to transport the signs.
Shadow Roads Minister John Graham told James Willis it’s the latest twist in a long and expensive saga.
