Malcolm Turnbull says there is “no doubt” the Coalition would have won the federal election if he had still been Prime Minister.

Speaking on Christopher Pyne’s latest podcast Mr Turnbull claimed “there’s not many people that doubt” he could have secured another election win.

He added, “the reality is that during my time as PM I was fighting always on two fronts”.

Rita Panahi tells Steve Price the former prime minister couldn’t be more wrong.

“The miserable ghost has lost the plot.

“Just about everybody in your party doubts that. That’s why they got rid of you.

“They knifed you reluctantly but there was really no other choice.”
