Man and woman charged over Sydney Samurai sword murder
Two people have been charged with murder, days after a man was murdered with a Samurai sword in broad daylight.
The victim, 30-year-old rapper Jett McKee, was allegedly slashed in the head on Hereford Street at Forest Lodge on Friday before he collapsed and died nearby.
Mr McKee was seen running for a nearby terrace moments earlier, wearing a balaclava and carrying a replica pistol.
Police are investigating whether he was involved in a home invasion gone wrong.
A man and a woman fled the scene after the attack and have been on the run ever since.
At about 6pm on Monday a 23-year-old woman and 28-year-old man handed themselves in at Newtown Police Station and were arrested.
The woman has been charged with murder and will face court today.
The man has now also been charged with murder, following his release from hospital.
