Man dies after being thrown from a ute in Broken Hill
A man has died after being thrown from the tray of a ute in Broken Hill.
Police have been told the Nissan Utility was travelling along Torquata Place in Broken Hill at around 11pm Thursday, with passengers in the tray of the vehicle.
A 29-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being thrown from the tray.
He died at the scene.
The 21-year-old male driver of the ute was taken to hospital for mandatory testing and was then taken to Broken Hill Police Station.
He is facing multiple charges including drive manner dangerous, dangerous driving cause death, drive whilst licence suspended, drive with passenger in part of vehicle not permitted.
He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
