Man dies from snake bite

A man has died in the New South Wales New England region as the result of a suspected brown snake bite.
The 24-year-old passed away in Tamworth Hospital late on Wednesday night.
It’s believed the man was bitten in the backyard of home while trying to protect his pet.
He was rushed to hospital by family members but passed away within an hour of the bite.
