A worker has been killed in an accident on a Darling Harbour construction site.

The 49-year-old man suffered significant face and head injuries after a pressurised water pipe exploded on the IMAX building site.

He was treated on the scene by paramedics but later died at St Vincent’s Hospital.

Police are investigating the accident.
